CCRM is pleased to announce that we have receive a planning grant from the National Science Foundation under the Centers for Research and Innovation in Science, the Environment and Society (CRISES) Program.

The CCRM project is entitled Catastrophic Risk and System-Scale Governance  and it proposes to develop a methodology for collaborative catastrophic risk modeling with the goal of helping risk-prone regions to better understand the imperatives for "system-scale" governance of catastrophic risks.

The planning research is expected to last for one year beginning September 15, 2024. The first phase of the project will convene a workshop to  explore the meaning of "cascading risks" in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Levee System.

Chris Ansell and Louise Comfort are the Co-PIs for the project and Adda Athanasopoulos-Zekkos, Marta Gonzales, Ann Keller, and Anna Serra-Llobet are Senior Personnel.
