This session will provide an overview of the US Naval Surface Forces’ Operational Surface Risk Indicators Model (OSRI). The OSRI project was born following several major at-sea mishaps. OSRI serves to provide predictive risk analytics/modeling and automated robust data visualization tools for leaders to enhance operational safety outcomes in addition to improving the health/well-being of Servicemembers.
Jillian Jarrett is a Senior Data Scientist at Booz Allen Hamilton. She is a dedicated professional with a focus on delivering data science, artificial intelligence, and analytics solutions in the Pacific region and for the Department of Navy. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley in Molecular and Cellular Biology, and a Master’s degree in Data Science and Engineering from UC San Diego.
Ryan Lance, PhD is a senior data scientist at Booz Allen Hamilton. He received his PhD in Mathematics from the University of Maryland. He previously worked in the Math Research Office at NSA. He has supported the Navy on various machine learning and cyber projects for five years.
